How to Help

Remember the old adage, Peace begins with me! It is the same with charity. Charity begins with me. Sympathizing with a cause and believing it is noble and necessary are wonderful beliefs. But we are to act on our beliefs. And to continue our mission of mercy we need good people to take action. It is amazing what taking that first-step of donating accomplishes. First, it breaks down that ever-present barrier that exists between recognizing we can help and actually helping.

Often, breaking that ice is the hardest part but once you’ve given, you realize how easy it really is, how good you feel and all the good your gifts are doing. The donation of only a few dollars when multiplied, can have a tremendous positive effect on those living a less-fortunate life. Remember what Jesus did with a few loaves of bread.
